ProfileData, the electronic data division of the Profile Group, today announced a major upgrade to the ShareMagic™ range of products.

ProfileData IT Director Johann du Preez says that the application has been completely rewritten to ensure upward compatibility going forward. "We have significantly improved the underlying code base in order to facilitate future development and rapid roll-out of new features in the coming months," du Preez says.

Profile Goup MD Ernie Alexander says that the new ShareMagic range is better engineered to meet the needs of a broad range of investors and traders. "From pure online access to the most sophisticated desktop analysis tools, ShareMagic now covers all the bases," Alexander said at today's launch. From this month, all ShareMagic™ users will enjoy access to an online product designed to complement the desktop packages. "The new ShareMagic ONLINE gives our users an always-on, instantly available source of news and market data when they don't want to do full-blown analysis," Alexander said.

ShareMagic™ users will qualify for free upgrades until March 2013. ProfileData will continue to supply data updates for the legacy versions of ShareMagic™ until the end of 2014, but will no longer offer support after March 2013.

Alexander believes that the new product range further cements ShareMagic's position as the most sophisticated analysis system available to private investors.
