Following a request from the JSE Securities Exchange, Profile Media has agreed to change the name of Profile's JSE Handbook back to Profile's Stock Exchange Handbook from July this year.

Profile Media bought the title The JSE Handbook from a Cape-based publisher some time ago and advised the JSE of the purchase at the time. The JSE has found that the name of the book, which incorporates the JSE's trademark, has created confusion in some areas of the market regarding the use of the JSE's trademark (and the Handbook's association with the JSE), and subsequently requested Profile to change the name of the Handbook. An amicable agreement was reached in this regard.

The JSE has had a long-standing business relationship with Profile Media and the name change does not imply any alteration of this relationship. The JSE continues to hold the Handbook in high regard.
