[JOHANNESBURG, MONDAY 17 APRIL 2006]
Johannesburg-based publisher Profile Media announced today the launch of a new title by author Liz Still aimed at the health care sector in South Africa. Health Care in South Africa aims to fill a gap created by massive changes in the entire health care system over the last five years. "There is no single reference for brokers, administrators and consumers which covers everything from the big picture to the structure of medical schemes," says author Liz Still. "This new publication will serve as a succinct but comprehensive reference for everyone in the industry." Written in an easy-to-read style, the new book covers everything from legislative changes in SA to world trends in health care. "Liz has done a wonderful job," says Profile MD Nic Oldert. "She's covered almost anything a user might need to know about the industry. The Health Charter, Gems, REF, SHI, prescribed minimum benefits, drug pricing, health insurance versus medical aid, how to choose a medical scheme – it's all covered." Oldert says the new publication has enjoyed strong support from industry players. The first issue of Health Care in South Africa, which is set to be an annual publication, hits the shelves next week. It will be available in leading bookstores or directly from the publisher. The book can be ordered online at www.profile.co.za. Trade enquiries should be directed to Marie Mutlow on 011-728-5510.
