Profile Media, the niche financial publisher and data house, has successfully negotiated with the Association of Collective Investment Schemes (ACI) to increase the number of certificates awarded to Offshore Fund Managers in the annual Personal Finance/ACI Raging Bull Awards.

Last year only three offshore sectors were recognised for purposes of the Raging Bulls. With a significant R42bn of SA investors’ money under management by FSB registered offshore funds, Profile, who provide the performance statistics for the awards, asked the ACI to consider greater recognition of the offshore categories.

The ACI have agreed to extend certificates to all sectors where there are 15 or more eligible funds. To be eligible, funds must have three or more years performance history and have been registered in SA for at least a year.

"Hopefully further offshore categories will be added next year," says Profile MD Nic Oldert.
