The Profile Group and its subsidiary, PlexCrown, are proud to be associated with the Raging Bulls on the 22nd anniversary of SA’s most prestigious investment industry awards.

The gala event held at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town on 31 January, celebrated top performers of the industry across a range of sectors and acknowledges investment managers in terms of top outright performers, best risk-adjusted performers and the best unit trust management companies.

The challenges facing the asset managers and investors are numerous and these are exacerbated by the tough economic conditions we have faced in South Africa, says Ernie Alexander, Chairman of the Profile Group. To consistently outperform one’s peers over the longer term takes more than hard work and patience, when considering the growth in the number of funds and fund managers in recent years.

Our congratulations to the winners, and especially to Allan Gray, for being awarded the Raging Bull for the South African Management Company of the Year, and Nedgroup and Investec who were jointly awarded the Raging Bull for the Offshore Management Company of the Year, based on a five-year term.
